Fourth edition Cycle Heroes
The autumn of 2020 saw the start of the fourth edition of 'Werken aan de Ring's Cycling Heroes'. On the 25th of October 2020, ten Cycle Heroes exchanged their car for an electric bicycle. They opted for the bicycle that best met their needs: a cargo bike, speed pedelec, long-tail etc.
They posted their experiences and challenges on the Cycling Heroes Facebook page. Along the way, they also inspired as many colleagues, friends and family as possible to take the bike once in a while.
Results
Six weeks long, our Cycling Heroes pedalled to work with great enthusiasm. Their efforts were not so obvious this year due to many having to work from home.
Nevertheless, together our 10 Cycling Heroes managed to log 5023.71 km. That's a CO2 savings of 879.14 kg! Joeri, Jolien and David all went on to buy their electric bikes!
