F2 along the railway line 50
The F2 will be a high-quality, safe and comfortable cycling connection that runs alongside various train stations. The combination with public transport will therefore be optimal.
- The cycle highway traverses an 8 km route along railway line 50, between Brussels and Denderleeuw.
- By placing the cycle highway along the railway line, differences in height are avoided as much as possible, and there are also few intersections with motorised traffic along this route.
- The F2 connects with the F212 Asse-Jette cycle highway along railway line 60.
The environmental permit for phase 1 will be submitted in mid-2020 and works are expected to start in mid-2021. The environmental permit for phase s will be submitted in mid-2021 and works are expected to start in mid-2022.
