Ring trambus

The works on the Albert I-laan are part of the Ring trambus project.This street is part of the final route of the Ring trambus. We are simultaneously working on safe and comfortable cycling infrastructure on the Albert-I laan.

Renewed intersections for the Ring trambus

The intersections with the Middelburgplein and the Poststraat and the roundabout with the Koning Boudewijnlaan will be completely overhauled to allow the Ring trambus to pass through. That way, the 24-metre-long Ring trambus will be able to easily pass through these areas.

Full-fledged bicycle path along the Albert I-laan

On the north side of the Albert I-laan there is a separate two-way bicycle path over a length of almost 2 kilometres, safely shielded from the roadway with a hedge. Adapted crossing points have been installed at the Middelburgplein, the Koning Boudewijnlaan and the Poststraat.
