Asse Station

Hoppin Point

Region

Asse Northern side

Project status

Realised

Currently, the routes of many means of transport meet at Asse station. There is a need for extra parking spaces as well as for additional bicycle parking facilities. The current users of Asse station as well as commuters from the nearby municipalities will be able to easily combine different means of transport by using the new Hoppin Point.

What will you find at this Hoppin Point?

  • This Hoppin Point will have spaces for 199 cars.
  • Car sharers will find three Kiss&Rides and five car-sharing parking spaces, including charging points.
  • Cyclists can make use of a covered bicycle parking facility with space for 400 bicycles, including oversized bicycles (e.g. cargo bicycles). You can also rent an individual bicycle locker, equipped with a charging point.
  • A bicycle repair shop is there to help with minor bicycle problems.
  • You can also use one of the 14 shared bikes.

How do you get to this Hoppin Point?

  • S-trains S10 and S3 stop at the station.
  • Ten bus lines connect the region directly to several Brussels areas: 23, 24, 42, 165, 212, 213, 214, 215, 216 and 242.
  • The F212 Dender-Asse-Brussels cycle highway has not yet been fully completed. The F212 Asse-Brussels cycle highway will run parallel to the Dendermonde-Jette railway line and will link Asse station with Zellik station, Zellik Research Park and Brussels. Using the F212 , you will be able to cycle from Asse to Brussels in less than 45 minutes.

When will the Hoppin Point be ready?

From the summer of 2021, you will be able to 'hop' between different means of transport quickly and safely at Asse Station Hoppin Point.
