Third edition Cycling Heroes
In mid September 2019 we launched a new Cycling Heroes campaign. Nine brave stars with a sense of adventure faced a challenging cycling escapade and shared their heroism with everyone.
Olivier, Tinneke, Sybille, Ken, Maxime, Laure, Lore, Philip and Anne-Marie live and/or work in the Brussels Periphery and left their cars unused for six weeks. They braved the elements with an electric bicycle.
Results
Together, these heroes cycled nearly 10,000 km. By doing so, they were responsible for a CO2 reduction of nearly 1.6 tonnes!
We are particularly proud of the participants, because five of these Cycling Heroes since purchased electric bicycles, postponed the purchase of a second car and organised a bicycle leasing plan at one of their companies.
Being a Cycling Hero sets something in motion!
