What is a Ring trambus?

A trambus is a 24 metre long bus with the look of a tram. The Ring trambus will soon run on the Ring route of the Branbantnet. It will connect important locations such as Heysel, Vilvoorde station and Brussels Airport.

Why a Ring trambus?

The Ring trambus offers a quick alternative to the structural congestion in the Noordrand, thanks to its own understructure. De trambuses will quickly provide a wider range of smooth and comfortable public transportation.

Ring trambus on bus line 820

The trambuses will initially be used on the current bus line 820. Various road works have been carried out to this end in Zaventem, Vilvoorde and Strombeek-Bever. Obstacles have been removed to give the long trambuses smooth passage. Many stops and platforms have also been extended as part of these works, so that passengers can get on and off the Ring trambus safely and comfortably.
