Hoppin Point

Northern side Vilvoorde

Project status

Realised

The Vilvoorde works are in full swing. In addition to the various cycle highways in the area and the planned reconstruction of the Heldenplein, the next step is the construction of a brand-new Hoppin Point near the ‘Vilvoorde Vlierkens’ bus stop.

What will you find at this Hoppin Point?

  • At this Hoppin Point you will find a car park with 100 parking spaces. Of these, seven are reserved for disabled drivers.
  • Electric car owners can charge their cars at one of six charging points.
  • You can leave your bicycle in a bike locker or in the covered bicycle parking facility, which can accommodate up to 50 bicycles.
  • Don't have your own bike? Then you can use a shared bike.

How do you get to this Hoppin Point?

  • Take Ring trambus 820 and get off at the brand-new stop just outside ‘Vilvoorde Vlierkens’. There you will find 80 extra bicycle spaces.
  • Alternatively, you can take bus 47, 261, 533, 536, 624 or 821.

When will the Hoppin Point be ready?

This Hoppin Point is already operational. The station area and the Heldenplein are also getting a makeover. Separate bus lanes will ensure easy bus connections in the redeveloped Rubensstraat.
